  Organic refers to the way agriculture products are grown and processed. Food free from exposure to harmful herbicides and pesticides. Organic food production is based on a system of farming that maintains and replenishes soil fertility without the used of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers. Organic foods are minimally processed with artificial ingredients, preservatives or irradiation to maintain the integrity of the food.
  Chemiacl agriculture and mass production of supermarket foods have only been big business for the past few centuries. During that period, radical changes in the way food is produced has been justified by scientific studies and large-scale advertising and publicity campaigns. In recent years, the negative longer-term effects of many chemical agriculture practices have become undeniable. Modem methods of mass food production are among the greatest polluters and place a lot of stress on our environmeng.
  So why is organic food better for you?
